Meet the founder
Catherine Hindson
Yoga/ Gentle Yoga/ Restorative/ Yin Yoga
Founder of Retreat & Rewild, Cat is a Vinyasa, Restorative & Yin yoga teacher and trained holistic facialist. Inspired by years of hosting nature-led retreats, Cat founded R&R Studios in August 2023 as a permanent Cotswolds home for grounding practices and joyful movement. The studio offers a calm, considered space for Yoga, Barre & Pilates classes, as well as an intentionally curated treatment room and event space. Every class, event & treatment here is thoughtfully held to give you a space to retreat, rest, and reconnect.
The intention behind the formation of R&R, both through retreats and our studio, was to create a home for meaningful practices. To create spaces that encourage people to drop out of the thinking mind, and into the feeling body. Words from Cat: "R&R studios is a cultivation of all the practices that I find to bring me joy and a sense of connection, from meditation & deep rest to barre & Pilates. I hope that what we have created here will become a sanctuary for you to retreat throughout the week."
Meet the Team

Amber White
Gentle Yoga
Amber is a yoga teacher and co-founder of Josser, a travelling restuarant which she runs with her partner Ols, the Circus Chef. When she’s not serving delicious food, looking after baby Zephyr, or running around after Steve the black lab, you’ll find her guiding classes here at R&R Studios. Words from Amber – “I am passionate about teaching connection – with self, others and nature – which I believe to be the key ingredient for a happier and healthier life. My classes are welcoming, fun and inspiring, with an emphasis on light-heartedness, kindness and only doing what feels right for your body. Join me on the mat where we’ll unite mind, body and body as we flow from one posture to the next, creating space for you to explore how it feels in your body in that moment. A regular practice will enable you to build inner-awareness, taking you on a journey of self-discovery which will allow you to tune into your beautifully unique body with curiosity and compassion. My classes are all about meeting yourself where you are, shaking off expectations and maybe breaking a little bit of sweat, but ultimately feeling capable and content.”

Catherine Hindson
Yoga/ Gentle Yoga/ Restorative/ Yin Yoga
Founder of Retreat & Rewild, Cat is a Vinyasa, Restorative & Yin yoga teacher. She has set her roots in the Cotswolds with the opening R&R Studios in August 2023. Words from Cat – “I am a huge fan of the little things in life. Slow mornings with a cup of coffee in bed, long walks in the Cotswolds countryside with sweet friends, evenings in with candles on, watching sunlight dance on the walls, queueing up to buy pastries after Sunday morning yoga. The mundane moments that can become beautiful when you slow down and notice them. To me, this is what yoga is. It’s slowing down and noticing. It’s being present and feeling. It’s the balance of doing and being. The practices I share are gentle, soulful, and uplifting. They meet you as you are, compassionately guiding you through a collective movement practice, whilst allowing you the space and autonomy for your own experience. My teaching style is fluid, inquisitive, grounding and dynamic. Taking time to float from one shape to another and weaving this together with the breath. That’s the sweet spot for me, so that’s what I share. My current teachers are Kalpana Tagore, Pip Roberts and Satu Tuomela. I’ve trained in India and with several teachers I’m inspired by in the UK. My understanding of the landscapes of our bodies in underpinned by my degree in Biomedical Science. When I guide yoga, I love to layer this base of scientific knowledge with Daoist & non-dual Tantrik philosophy as well as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).”

Chloe Nicholls
Barre/ Yoga/ Gentle Yoga
Chloe is a Barre and Yoga instructor who has been teaching in London for the last seven years, she is delighted to join the team at R&R. Her kind nature will support and guide you through each of her classes, but you can still expect to feel that deep barre burn as they challenge you to feel the best you can in body and mind. As a former professional dancer Chloe has always been fascinated by the human body and its potential for movement. Through years of training and performing she developed a deep understanding of the body’s mechanics and the importance of maintaining physical and mental wellness. This led her to pursue a career in massage therapy with the goal of helping others achieve lasting change and balance.

Jen Smith
Barre/ Pilates
Jen is an upbeat, positive and energetic person and you’ll experience this vibe in her classes. Jen is classically trained but her flow is heavily influenced by her time living in Sydney Australia so expect a contemporary, dynamic and fun class rooted in Pilates fundamentals. After recovering from a broken and dislocated collar bone at the start and the pandemic, Jen found that her normal movement routine no longer supported her body. Jen rediscovered her joy for Pilates; kind low impact movement that still packed a punch! A few years of practice later, Jen was the strongest she’d ever been both mentally and physically and wanted to share the amazing benefits with others. Jen trained and qualified in 2022, left her full time office role and hasn’t looked back! Come and experience the Pilates burn with her!

Liz Burns
Pilates/ Yoga/ Qigong
Driven by a fascination with the profound intelligence of our body-mind, Liz is a Yoga, Pilates & Qigong instructor, as well as a Personal Trainer. Her classes explore the interplay between movement and breath, whilst remaining spicy, fun, and dynamic. In Pilates, she draws from classical repertoire as well as being inspired by many other forms of mixed and functional movement practices. With a deep fascination for anatomy and integrative movement, Liz is also a rehabilitation and pain specialist. Understanding that no two bodies are the same, she brings her expertise from having trained high-level athletes to desk workers. Liz is deeply passionate about using Somatics, movement, yoga, and non-dual philosophy to build empowered and embodied communities. Her work comes together based on the belief that safety, wellbeing, and presence-awareness are our birthright.

Loulou Randall
Barre/ Yoga/ Gentle Yoga
Loulou is a Yoga, Barre and movement facilitator, guiding classes that blend many forms of movement. She is passionate about music; weaving a carefully curated playlist into every class. You can expect her Barre & Flow classes from her that allow you to feel energised and grounded, flowing seamlessly from one move to the next, building strength, stamina and mental resilience. Whilst Loulou has explored varied movement styles, her background in music has shaped the way she teaches; believing that there is an undeniable connection between breath, movement, music and their shared ability to empower and connect us.

Olivia Wilkinson
Barre/ Pilates/ Rocket/ Yoga
Olivia is a passionate wellness practitioner, trained in yoga, Ayurveda, sound, barre, and more recently, Pilates. She is thrilled to be joining the R&R community. Still relatively new to the Cotswolds, she is slowly building her home here after many years teaching in Asia both in her own studio space, and on the sunny beaches of Da Nang. Having fallen in love with hot yoga as a teenager, Olivia has spent decades as a student of dynamic styles including Ashtanga and Bikram. She has trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Kaivalya and Kundalini with teachers from all over the world. She enjoys teaching powerful classes with postures and flows that offer both physical and mental challenge. Since becoming pregnant and welcoming her first child at the end of 2024, Olivia has had the opportunity to reconnect with softer practices that nurture herself, but also allow her to nurture. She firmly believes that the many sound baths she was facilitating during her pregnancy are responsible for her son's calm and happy demeanour! Having studied Biomedical Science at university and completing her Ayurvedic studies with the American Institute of the Vedas, Olivia looks at yoga and its supportive practices as therapeutic through a multitude of lenses. She borrows from both ancient wisdom and modern science, striving for that middle ground of holistic wellbeing.

Ren Collier-Smith
Gentle Yoga/ Restorative
Ren is a facilitator of soft, slow, and somatic spaces that honour the body and mind. He work invites people out of performance and into presence - through rest, breath, meditation, movement, and ritual. With a deep respect for the nervous system and the subtleties of sensation, Ren guides practices that centre on you finding the pathways to your own sense of safety, softness, and the quiet magic of coming home to yourself. No aesthetic to maintain. No outcome to chase. Just space to feel, unravel, and reweave. For anyone who's spent a lifetime organising, fixing, and planning - know that you don’t need permission to rest and that Ren offers you practices to do just that.

Sæunn Rut Sævarsdóttir
Restorative/ Yoga/ Yin Yoga
Sæunn is a yoga teacher and outdoor enthusiast from Iceland and now based in the Cotswolds. Words from Sæunn – “I have been fascinated by movement and wellness my whole life, having danced from a young age and then later pursuing a Master’s in Public Health (focus on health and lifestyle). When I discovered the magic of yoga it was like coming home. I am truly passionate about taking the practice of yoga and extending it beyond the mat. After all, life happens outside of the yoga studio and I want to help you make the most of that life. In my flow classes I weave in my background in dance and combine it with a keen knowledge of the human body and psyche to create a practice full of creativity and joy, and usually a little bit of spice. A practice which aims to explore that elusive balance, between effort and ease, between strength and softness – helping you appreciate all that you’re capable of, on the mat and off it. In my softer classes I encourage gentleness and acceptance, tuning in through deep and juicy yin postures and usually finishing with a deeply nourishing Nidra. Learning to awaken quiet and calm in a busy world. Rest is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. Movement is medicine, but so is stillness. Again, it’s all about that elusive balance. Whether you join me for a strong and sweaty flow or a soft and deep yin class, I will always encourage you to move mindfully, to listen to the body and observe the current state of mind – to be present. This is your practice, your time, and I’m only here to offer some suggestions.”

Our Classes

Yoga
Yoga classes at R&R Studios consist of asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathwork), meditation & rest. Our teachers draw on a range of training and influences including: Vinyasa Yoga, Embodied Yin™, Restorative Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Non-dual Tantra, and Yoga Nidra.
Our signature Yoga class is dynamic, includes creative transitions, and follows a vinyasa-style where movement is linked to the breath. You will build up heat in the body before we slow things down and end the class with space to rest.
This class is suitable for all levels, so beginnners are always welcome. We recommend letting us know if it’s your first class so we can give you some extra guidance.
Please note, class registrations close 30 minutes before practice starts.

Gentle Yoga
Gentle Yoga at R&R Studios blends slow, floor-based postures with mindful movement to offer a softer practice. You will move more than in a Yin or Restorative class, but the pace will be slower than our signature Yoga class. This is perfect for those looking for something more grounding, beginners, and those returning to their practice after a break.
Please note, class registrations close 30 minutes before practice starts.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga at R&R Studios is a slow, grounding practice rooted in the Taoist concept of Yin and Yang, inviting stillness, softness, and deep release.
Classes consist of floor-based postures held for longer periods, allowing time to soften and explore your edge. We use props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support the body, making space for a meditative, introspective experience.
Yin Yoga is suitable for all levels. If you’re new to the practice, let us know so we can offer you extra support and guidance.
Please note, registrations close 30 minutes before practice starts.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga at R&R Studios is a deeply restful practice designed to support the nervous system and nurture stillness through long holds in deeply supported & relaxing postures.
Expect to use plenty of props; blankets, bolsters, eye pillows, and more. This is a gentle, nourishing space to slow down, cultivate deep rest, and replenish your cells.
Our teachers guide from their own experience and training, so each class offers a slightly different flavour of rest. You can read our teachers’ bios here and explore their classes to find the approach that resonates with you.
This practice is truly accessible and open to all. If it’s your first time, we recommend letting your teacher know so they can offer extra support.
Please note, registrations close 30 minutes before practice starts.

Barre
Barre at R&R Studios is a high-energy, low-impact movement practice designed to leave you feeling strong, uplifted, and deeply connected to your body.
This musically-driven class blends bodyweight resistance, optional props (like ankle weights, Pilates balls, and loop bands), and high repetitions to build strength, stability, and endurance. Yes, that signature barre burn is part of the magic.
Barre is suitable for all levels and is taught in layers, so you can move in a way that feels right for you. If it’s your first class, let your teacher know, they’ll be happy to offer extra support and guidance.
Please note, registrations close 30 minutes before practice starts.

Pilates
Pilates at R&R Studios is a dynamic, full-body movement practice designed to build strength, balance, and awareness from the inside out.
Expect a flowing class that strengthens, lengthens, and challenges the body through focused, intentional movement. You’ll leave feeling grounded, energised, and more connected to your core.
Each teacher brings their own approach – some draw from classical Pilates training, while others are inspired by the dynamic style often seen in Australian studios.
Pilates is open to all levels, including beginners. If it’s your first time, let your teacher know so they can offer extra support and guidance.
Please note, registrations close 30 minutes before practice starts.

Rocket Yoga
Rocket Yoga at R&R Studios is a dynamic and energetic practice. It combines traditional Ashtanga sequencing with creative transitions, strength-building poses, and lots of opportunities for play in arm balances and inversions. Expect a strong focus on breath, bandhas (energy-locks), and flowing movement designed to uplift!
This class is open to all levels, though some experience with vinyasa-style yoga may be helpful. Modifications are always offered, and you’re encouraged to listen to your body and take rest as needed.
Please note class registrations close 30-minutes before practice starts.

Extended Yoga
Every month at R&R Studios we are proud to offer extended 90-minute practices held by our team as well as visiting guest teachers we are inspired by. These practices vary each month, some diving deep into a specific lineage of yoga, some introducing new techniques and wellness tools, and some blending two types of movement to cultivate joy.

Weaving together people, places & spaces to cultivate wellness.
