Frequently asked questions
YES – you are so welcome to come and practice with us at R&R. Our classes and ethos are about movement for joy over aesthetics. Know that we’ve chosen our team very carefully and all of the teachers at R&R guide classes in an inclusive way that enables you to meet yourself as you are. Whether you have hours of practice under your belt or are just starting out, or are just starting out, we would love to see you.
We recommend letting your teacher know it’s your first class so they can make sure to offer extra guidance & support you
When you arrive to the studio your teacher may be upstairs in the studio. The upstairs studio has a no-shoes policy, so please make sure shoes are off before you head on up. You can leave your shoes, coats & bags on the benches provided in the boot-room. We politely ask that you leave all your belongings here too (including phones) and don’t keep them next to your mat – the doors will be locked during practice so your belongings will be safe. Phones should be switched off or on silent/ do-not-disturb. This is to preserve peace for all as we practice.
As you head upstairs your teacher will greet you & you can ask any questions you may have. Our classes will begin and end on time.
At the end of practice we put the mats & props away as a community. Please clean your mat with the spray & cloths provided.
We provide high quality mats and props (including blocks, straps, bolsters, ankle weights etc) and the studio will be set up and waiting for you.
For movement practices (yoga, barre etc), wear anything you can move & feel good in and bring a water bottle.
For restorative practices (yin, restorative yoga soundbaths etc), we recommend wearing warm, comfortable clothing. When we take part in restorative practices, the body temperature drops, so we advise bringing your cosiest layers.
If you are on the waitlist, you will be automatically added if a space becomes available within 24 hours of the class start time. Please check emails as you will receive a booking confirmation when you are added to class.
Within 24 hours of the class start time, you will be emailed if a space becomes available and then have a 30-minute window to accept the space. If you don’t respond within the 30-minutes, the space will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. You will be deducted the class credit if you cancel in the late cancellation window. We also have a no show charge of £5.00 if you don’t turn up to class and haven’t cancelled your space so someone else can use it.
We are a small business/studio, it is not sustainable for us to credit back classes if you fail to make class.
Unfortunately not, our late comers policy is strict to preserve peace for all during practice. Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your class to settle into the space. Our classes begin on time and the downstairs door is locked just before class begins.
If you arrive and the door is locked, you are too late and won’t be let into the class. We ask that you please be kind to our team and respect this policy.
Please also stay for the entire length of class if you do join us.
